24/7 Proactive IT Monitoring — We Catch Problems Before You Notice

ROI Technologies monitors your entire IT environment around the clock using enterprise-grade remote monitoring and management technology. When something is wrong — we act before you notice.

24/7

Continuous monitoring — every minute of every day

Proactive

Alerts actioned before users are affected

Continuous

Monitoring across servers, endpoints and network

How this works in practice: monitoring runs continuously, every day of the year. Alerts are triaged and actioned by our engineers during business hours — anything raised overnight is at the top of the queue the next morning. Continuous monitoring means problems are caught early and logged with full context, not that you are paying for a night shift you will rarely use.

What We Monitor

Every layer of your IT environment. Continuously.

Server Monitoring

  • CPU, memory and disk utilisation with threshold alerts
  • Windows Service health and automated restart
  • Event log monitoring for critical errors
  • Disk health (SMART) and capacity planning
  • Server uptime and reboot alerts

Network Monitoring

  • Firewall, switch and router connectivity
  • WAN link health and failover status
  • Bandwidth utilisation and anomaly detection
  • VPN tunnel status and alerts

Security Monitoring

  • Patch compliance — Windows and third-party apps
  • Endpoint protection status monitoring
  • Failed login attempts and account lockouts
  • Security policy compliance reporting

Backup Monitoring

  • Every backup job verified — success and failure alerts
  • Backup storage capacity monitoring
  • Retention policy compliance
  • Immediate escalation on backup failures

Microsoft 365 Monitoring

  • Service health status monitoring
  • Mailbox and licence management alerts
  • SharePoint and OneDrive storage tracking

IT Automation

  • Automated remediation scripts for common issues
  • PowerShell and CMD-based automation
  • Scheduled maintenance out-of-hours
  • Automated patch deployment and testing
  • Self-healing alerts — many issues auto-resolve
Patch Management

Every system. Always patched. Always protected.

Unpatched systems are the most common entry point for cyberattacks. ROI Technologies manages patching across your entire environment automatically.

  • Centralised patch management for Windows OS
  • Third-party application patching
  • Firmware updates for servers and network devices
  • Patch testing before production deployment
  • Monthly patch compliance reporting
Customisable Alerting

Alerts tuned to your environment.

Not every alert needs a human — but the right ones do. We configure thresholds specific to your environment and escalate intelligently.

  • Alert thresholds configured per client environment
  • Escalation paths — automated to engineer to account manager
  • Overnight and weekend alerts are queued and triaged first thing the next business day
  • Client-facing dashboard available on request
  • Monthly monitoring reports included
Sound familiar?

Sound Familiar?

Monitoring is one of those things everyone assumes is happening. These are the situations that reveal it isn't:

  • You find out about IT problems when a staff member walks over to complain.
  • A server ran out of disk space and nobody knew until it stopped.
  • Patching happens when someone remembers, or when something forces it.
  • You couldn't say which machines on your network are actually being managed.
  • Alerts exist somewhere, but so many of them fire that nobody looks any more.
  • You're paying for support that only begins once something is already broken.
Our approach

What proactive monitoring should mean

Almost every provider says they monitor. The difference is in what happens between an alert firing and someone doing something about it.

Tuned, not merely switched on

Thresholds are set by device role and business criticality, because a development machine and a domain controller do not warrant the same alarm. Noise is the reason monitoring gets ignored, so tuning it down is part of the work rather than an afterthought.

Alerts classified before they reach a person

Every alert is assessed for severity, business impact and urgency, so what reaches an engineer is ordered by what actually matters. A system that cries wolf is worse than no system at all.

Patching by policy, not by memory

Operating system and approved application patching runs through controlled policies, with higher-risk updates staged where practical. Deferrals, exclusions, failures and unsupported systems are documented — so what isn't patched is a decision on record rather than an oversight.

You see what we see

Reporting covers patch compliance, device health, backup status and any material risks we've found. Including the awkward parts: devices that can't be managed, and systems past their supported life.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is somebody watching a screen 24 hours a day?

No, and we'd rather be straight about that than imply otherwise. Monitoring runs continuously, every day of the year — the platform never stops collecting and alerting. Our engineers triage and action those alerts during business hours. Anything raised overnight is already detected, with full context attached, and sits at the top of the queue the next morning. Continuous monitoring means problems are caught early and recorded properly; it does not mean you are paying for a night shift you will rarely use.

What does "proactive" actually mean in practice?

Acting on the conditions that precede a failure rather than the failure itself — a disk filling steadily, a backup job that has quietly failed three nights running, a service restarting repeatedly, hardware reporting errors before it dies. None of those are visible to a user until the moment they become an outage.

How do you avoid drowning us in alerts?

By tuning thresholds to each environment and suppressing alerts during authorised maintenance. Alert fatigue is the most common reason monitoring stops working — once people learn the alerts are mostly noise, they stop reading the ones that matter. Reducing volume is as important as increasing coverage.

What happens to devices you can't monitor?

We document them. Some devices are unsupported, some are personally owned, some sit behind arrangements we don't control. Rather than quietly leaving them out of the report, we record what isn't covered and why, so you know where your visibility ends.

Could patching break something?

It can, which is why it runs through controlled policies rather than automatically applying everything the moment it's released. Higher-risk updates are staged where practical, maintenance windows are agreed with you, and anything we deliberately hold back is documented with the reason.

Stop reacting. Start preventing.
